You don’t need to show my property to earn the 5%—just make the introduction. It’s that simple. If you know someone interested in living on Ecuador’s coast or dreaming of owning a bed and breakfast, this could be perfect for them. You have a couple of options for receiving the 5%.
The first option, which I prefer and think you will as well, is to have the buyer transfer your commission directly to your bank account. Since you know the buyer, this should give you peace of mind about receiving payment. This can be done either before or at closing.
The other option is for the buyer to transfer the money to me, and once I receive the funds, I would then transfer them to your bank account. This process is slower, as it typically takes a bank 3 business days to make the funds available. Again, I prefer the first option, and I'm sure you would as well.
